new year

It’s been sometimes since I logged into here. Well, first of all, my Sundays have  been taken up by some other activities..
Hmm.. how was my year-end closing last year? It was fantastic and we manage to go back by 9pm as compared to previous months where we stay up until 11pm something.

This new year (not new actually as we are coming to almost the end on the second month of 2008 but I considered it as new here because this is the first time I write something in 2008) brought some changes in my life and I still adjusting to it.

Life is really like a journey, a path in which no individual will share the same all the time. Yes, we may cross paths occassionally and even our paths are alligned once in a while but due to different backgrounds and mindset, we will view our life differently.

Because of this difference, we never know the true story which lies behind each individual. Often times, we judge people based on what we heard (?gossip which we take it as gospel-truth because they came from our friends, relatives etc) and also based on what we saw (though it was just one paragraph or one chapter of that person life story). This is best illustrated by one advertisement which I saw in the cinema (before movie screening). It’s about camera (or is it camera phone?). It started with a person taking a photo with the subject(s) darken out (like taking a photo with a glaring background and without flash), showing just the silhoutte. The second screen shows the same photo but with flash. However, now with flash, we will see a different picture/story. And it goes on showing different examples of them. For example, in the first phot it shows a silhoutte of a lady hugging/kissing with a guy but in the second photo (with flash), it’s actually showing a lady adjusting a scarf or something on a mannequin. Another example showing a lady with flowing hairs and waving scarf but it’s actually a man with long hair wearing a scarf. These shows that if a picture is shown in different kind of lights, it will tell different story and we often judge or see other people based on our concept of life or our own way of thinking without looking at a greater picture/different angle or even try to do that.

Armed with these informations, we often goes around spreading it without knowing the level of damage which will cause to the subject.
Well, nobody is perfect and I’m not a saint. I have been of those irresponsible who committed the same mistake as above. Let us strive to learn from our mistakes.
